EMF’s new outlets

Puls Biznesu reports that the leading listed consumer brand operator Empik Media&Fashion (EMF) has opened several new outlets around Poland. In May the company launched 550 m2 Empik and 890 m2 Smyk stores in Katowice’s Trzy Stawy shopping centre. EMF has rented space for two further Empik and Smyk outlets, 700 m2 and 850 m2 respectively, from Plaza Center in Poznan. In addition, the company plans to open three more shops in the near future in Poznan’s Plaza. The Zara (1,600 m2), Esprit (250 m2) and Mexx (250 m2) shops are scheduled for August. In the Promenada shopping centre, in Warsaw, EMF will launch a Zara store (1,500 m2). As of September in the same shopping gallery 150 m2 of retail space will be occupied by another EMF brand name store – Wallis. In addition, in Zabrze’s M1 centre the company will open the Smyk (900 m2) and Empik (580 m2) stores in August. Puls Biznesu reports that Empik Media&Fashon has also concluded negotiations on the lease of further retail space in the following shopping centres: Alfa Olsztyn, Galeria Copernicus Torun, Matarnia Gdansk, Silesia City Center Katowice and Warsaw’s Plaza Sadyba.
